Discover the power of friends, a glass of wine and a well-cut frock
Get Your Frocks Off! parties will help you to discover how to look
fabulous every day, learn how to avoid making expensive fashion
mistakes, earn cash from your wardrobe clutter and grab yourself
a bargain. Not only that, but all guests receive a goody bag and
personal advice – including unique colour and style cards.
How it works
You and your friends bring along good quality, clean items that
you no longer need
Hand them over to the get your frocks off! co-ordinator, who will
decide whether to put them on the Swap Rail or Sell Rail
Swap Rail items are up for grabs and can be taken home (free) by
anyone
Sell Rail items are offered at a price agreed with the get your
frocks off! co-ordinator and the proceeds will be split 50/50 between
you and the business
Sit down for a chat about image and style, plus personal consultations
on your most flattering colours and clothing styles.
Shop for bargains from the Sell and Swap Rails, plus additional
gently-worn items and a selection of new accessories
Sell Rail items that don’t sell on the night will be offered
in the get your frocks off! shop/other parties under the same terms.
What shall I bring?
All items must be freshly laundered and ironed.
Sell Rail items must be less than three years old, in excellent
condition and from the mid-range High Street (eg Next, M&S,
Monsoon etc) upwards.
Other than that, bring whatever clothing, shoes and accessories
are clogging up your wardrobe and join in the fun!
Tell me the details
Parties can be at my place or yours! If they’re at mine, I’ll
provide wine and snacks.
Tickets are £30 per person, to include goody bags of discount
vouchers, unique colour and style shopping cards for each guest,
membership of the Frock Chick club, plus personal style advice.
Hostesses receive 30% of the ticket price, either to keep or to
give to charity – you decide! The hostess also receives 10%
of the evening’s takings in Frock Vouchers, to spend at any
time. (Plus, you get first look at all the bargains!)
Parties can be in the evenings (7.30 – 10pm) or any time during
the day.
Detox
your frocks!
Wardrobe full of clothes but you still have nothing to wear? Do
you struggle to present the right image for your lifestyle? Do you
spend ages getting ready in the morning? Are you stuck in a style
rut?
We’ll spend three hours in your wardrobe, streamlining, decluttering
and identifying the gaps. We’ll also steer you on the right
fashion road and stop you making the same mistakes again.
What’s fantastic about get your frocks off! is that we can
sell your suitable cast-offs in our shop/parties – so you
can easily earn back your fee.

Hit the shops with get your
frocks off!
Our aim is to make sure you have fun, find some fabulous fashion
and generally feel like Lady Muck.
Our job is to be your kind but objective friend for the day –
and unlike real life friends, we promise not to lie, sulk, put you
in clothes that would suit us but don’t suit you, or drag
you off to the shops we want to go to, totally ignoring your needs.
We’ll even make sure you have a decent cuppa halfway through.
We shop with My High Street Card, so you get discounts in some of
York’s finest shops. Plus, our special arrangement with Fenwick
means we can use their private changing rooms, ensuring you feel
like a real VIP for the day.
